The ballet score to Firebird propelled Stravinsky to instant, rock-star success. You’ll feel what a French critic called “the most exquisite marvel of equilibrium we have ever imagined between sounds, movements and forms.”

Bach apparently never received any fee nor even a performance of his Brandenburg Concertos. Yet we as an audience are enriched forever by the Vivaldi-like energy and intricate lines.

Maestro Preu has sandwiched a rare treat between these two masterpieces, Prokofiev’s wildly colorful and original Third Symphony.
